We encourage the reporting of any observed or suspected misconduct to ensure we maintain a safe, fair, and honest work environment.

The AFEA "Speak Up" Initiative

If you have concerns regarding illegal, unethical, or improper conduct related to our operations, we want to hear from you. This portal is designed for both internal staff and external stakeholders (clients, contractors, and partners) to report concerns in a confidential and secure environment.

What should be reported?

  • Fraud, corruption, or financial malpractice.
  • Breaches of health and safety regulations.
  • Environmental law violations.
  • Unethical engineering practices or data manipulation.
  • Harassment, discrimination, or serious misconduct.

Confidentiality & Protection

We understand that coming forward can be difficult. AFEA provides the following guarantees to anyone making a disclosure in good faith:

  • Anonymity: You may choose to remain anonymous. We use secure communication channels to ensure your identity is protected.
  • Zero Tolerance for Retaliation: In accordance with Australian law, AFEA has a strict zero-tolerance policy for any form of victimisation or retaliation against a whistleblower.
  • Independent Review: All reports are handled with the utmost confidentiality and are reviewed by senior leadership independent of the area of concern.

How to Make a Report

1. Internal Reporting (Preferred)
We encourage you to report concerns directly to us so we can investigate and rectify the issue promptly.
2. External Reporting (Australia & Victoria)
If you feel uncomfortable reporting internally, or if your concern remains unaddressed, you may contact the relevant Australian regulatory authorities:

  • ASIC (Australian Securities and Investments Commission): For concerns regarding corporate misconduct or breaches of the Corporations Act.
  • Fair Work Ombudsman: For matters regarding workplace laws and employment entitlements in Victoria.
  • WorkSafe Victoria: For serious breaches of occupational health and safety.
  • Environment Protection Authority (EPA) Victoria: For reports regarding environmental mismanagement or pollution.
